The right interval between skin checks.
For most adults, a full-body skin exam once a year is the right rhythm. It’s frequent enough to catch change early, and spaced enough to let your skin, and your record, tell a meaningful story between visits.
Some skins ask for a shorter interval. Fair skin that burns easily, a family history of melanoma, many moles or atypical ones, years of Florida sun, or a prior skin cancer can move the cadence to every six months. That’s a decision we make together, based on your baseline, not a rule applied to everyone.
Between visits, give yourself a once-a-month look: asymmetry, borders, color, diameter, evolution: the ABCDEs. Anything new, changing or simply worrying deserves a call; we’d always rather confirm a freckle than miss a melanoma.
The right interval is the one you’ll actually keep. We’ll help you find it, and we’ll remember it for you.
